Great radio program comes to the big screen
Excellent. Too bad they don't make movies like this any more, very entertaining without sex, violence or profanity.

Part of a set.
This movie was very dramatic. There is another Dr. Christian movie - Dr. Christian Meets the Women. That one is funny. So, The two are like a set. One comedy, one drama. Both good, but Dr. Christian Meets The Women is better.

The story of a small town doctor trying to implement social change.
so, you can imagine that it has strong moral undertones. the humour & characters are not strong enough to really carry the plot well.
see "Happy Go Lovely" first, if you haven't already.
